Tony Bland named USBL "Rookie of the Week"

May 11 - Things may not be going as planned for the Brevard Blue Ducks so far this season, but one move they've made has proven successful.
Tony Bland, a smooth-moving guard picked up from the Westchester Wildfire has garnered "Rookie of the Week" honors from the USBL.
Bland earned the award by opening the week with 14 points in only 16 minutes of action in his debut with Brevard against Pennsylvania. Two nights later, Band pumped in 21 against the ValleyDawgs. He finished his first week with Brevard by netting 27 points against west division-leading Cedar Rapids, bringing his first week's average to 20.3PPG.
