Derek Howard, Head Coach
A former player at McMaster University from
1989-93 where he was a 2 time OUTAA All-Star in '92 and '93, Derek
coached at Countryside HS, 1994-95, Vero Beach HS 1996-97, and Melbourne
Central Catholic from 1999-02. Derek also served as an assistant
coach at Belmont Abbey College in 1995, 96 He then worked as a scout
for the Florida Sharks (USBL) in 1996 under Eric Musselman, who
now coaches the NBA's Golden State Warriors, before joining the
Brevard Blue Ducks as assistant coach under Harvey Grant last season.
After the USBL season, Derek took over as head coach of the Wilmington
Wave Rockers of the XBA and led his team all the way to the championship
game.

John Whitley, Assistant Coach
A graduate of the University of North Carolina
at Wilmington where he earned a B. A. in health and physical education,
John took to coaching early, becoming the boy's basketball coach
at Cape fear Academy in Wilmington, while he was himself a sophomore
at UNCW. Taking control of a team that had been a combined 7-41
its previous two seasons, John led his team to the quarterfinals
of the North Carolina state tournament and finished ranked number
eight in the state. He topped that off the next year with a North
Carolina state 2A ranking, while compiling a career .700 winning
percentage. John then went on to the XBA, where he assisted Derek
Howard in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Dave Chatzky, Assistant
Coach
Dave is nearing completion of his Masters
degree in Counseling and Student Development at Central CT State
U. and in his second season with the Blue Ducks. A former pro basketball
referee, Dave assisted and/or coached basketball teams including
the Connecticut Pride (1999 CBA Champions); New England Blizzard
(ABL); Springfield Spirit (NWBL); Manchester (CT) Community College
men - nationally ranked in scoring and shooting; highly ranked New
Britain, CT H.S. girls; and attended practices and officiated scrimmages
for UConn mens and womens teams throughout the 90's.
Hes currently a coach for U. Southern Maine mens basketball,
premier basketball camps like Five-Star, Hoop Mountain, and Blue
Chip, and an academic-career advisor/counselor for collegiate student-athletes.

Tony Riopelle, Assistant Coach
A graduate of the University of North Dakota, Coach Riopelle is
in his first season with the Blue Ducks. He has worked a variety
of pro exposure camps within the past two years in both the XBA
and USBL. Coach Riopelle was also an assistant Coach with the XBZ
Rookie All Star Team whic toured the upper midwest this past fall.

Ricky Benitez, Head Coach (Last 7 Games)
Before coming to Brevard County Ricky was Head Coach
for the Campamento De Baloncesto Internacional in Barquisimento,
Venezuela in 2002-2003. He served as counsultant to CBA American
Conference Champions, Rockford Lightening and USBL Eastern Conferance
Champions, the Brevard Blue Ducks and is currently on the Board
of Directors for the Tampa Bay Pro Am. Ricky was Associate Head
Coach for CBAs Gary Steelheads in 2001 and 2002. He has also consulted
for ABAs Tampa Bay ThunderDawgs and the USBL Tampa Bay Windjammers.

Dennis Scott, Assistant Coach/Player
After averaging almost 28 points per game as junior
for Georgia Tech in 1989-90 and being named College Player of the
Year by The Sporting News, Dennis "3-D" Scott was selected
by the Orlando Magic as the fourth overall pick in the first round
of the 1990 NBA Draft.
He became the first Magic player in franchise history
to win the NBA Player of the Week and Rookie of the Month honors
during his first season and went on to be named to the 1990-91 NBA
All-Rookie Team after averaging 15.7PPG and setting an NBA rookie
record with 125 3-pointers.

| One of the all-time
greatest shooters in NBA history, Dennis made at least one three-pointer
in a Magic franchise-record 78 straight games over two seasons, from
1994/95-1995/96. He set an NBA record for most three-pointers made
in a game, with 11, against the Atlanta Hawks on 4/18/96. In the 1996-97
season, he set an NBA single-season record with 267 three pointers.
Dennis finished his Magic career in 1997 and after
seven seasons was the Magic all-time leader in three-pointers made
(981) and attempted (2,432) and ranks third in points (6,303) and
steals (429). After 12 NBA seasons and 629 games, Dennis finished
with 1,214 three-pointers made and 8,094 points scored. He also
had 1,774 rebounds, 1,296 assists, 525 steals and 197 blocks.
A knee injury slowed him and forced him to
retire after signing as a free agent with the Los Angeles Lakers
in 2001.

Mark F. Pinsky, D.O.- Team Physician
Mark recieved his medical degree from the University
of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City,
MO. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University
of Louisville Department of Family and Community Medicine in Kentucky.
Dr. Pinsky also completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the
Lutheran Medicine Center in conjunction with Horizon Orthopedic
and has served as the Team Physician for the Cleveland Indians.

Amando mendoza, P.T. - Rehab Coordinator
AJ is a 1992 graduate of the University of Manitoba.
Currently employed at CORA Rehabilitaion Clinic, Mendoza performs
managerial and clinical duties in an Out-patient Physical Therapy
setting. He performs all types of PT related caseloads and Work
Comp injuries, Develop relationships with local physicians and industries.

Shane C Hernesman, M.D. - Assistant Team Physician
Shane graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin,
completed his residency at the Lacrosse-Mayo Family Practice Residency
Program and completed his fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Hernesman specializes in Family practice and Sports medicine.

USBL Head Coaches | 2003 Season
The USBL's head coaches come from the ranks of basketball's
finest players and coaches, including 14-year NBA star Darryl "Chocolate
Thunder" Dawkins of the Pennsylvania Valley Dawgs and Robert Reid
of the Texas Rim Rockers. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar led the Oklahoma Storm to
the USBL title last season.
Coach Dawkins enters his fifth season with the Valley Dawgs, guiding one
of the League's most successful franchises to the 2001 USBL Championship,
while Reid begins his first season at the helm of the Rim Rockers.
